Spark awareness for a better you and a better us

About Us

Our intention is to increase awareness of our own behaviour by promoting conversation and education about how we interact with each other.

We are sharing stories written by volunteers which are organized under 20 ideas or habits of behaviour.
The stories use a pre-set cast of characters.

Thank you for visiting our website.
You're welcome to contribute stories that exemplify the 20 ideas.

Our characters

Alex’s favourite colour is black. Alex likes to ride bicycles down hills while laughing. Alex loves to wear white t-shirts. Alex is optimistic most of the time.

R-Jay’s favourite toy is the remote-control drone. R-Jay like to read books on the swing and go for walks in the park. R-Jay is pessimistic most of the time but always tries to be efficient and organized. R-Jay’s room is always clean.

Grandpa is a wise old man who is always wearing sunglasses working in the garden. He is great at
talking to me about my problems.

Story setting in our stories

Emerald City

A busy city with lots of places to play in the sun and even in the rain. A place where life is tricky and complicated sometimes, but where everyone does the best they can. Place where everyone has something that makes their own personal struggles harder then they wish it was.

How we started..

The 20 ideas was formed in November 2018 by a small group of volunteers in Vancouver, British Columbia who launched this website on May 8, 2019.

We are regular people who are worried about our kids behaviour, unsure of the influence of the internet, confused by behaviour changes in the business community, and curious about changes to our own habits.

Our intention in launching the website is for it to provide a virtual village to help raise our children. One day we hope to be able to afford sophisticated software so you can vote for stories that get published.

We aim to...

Promote good behavior and leadership to children

We believe sharing ideas with children about possible ways they could act and to challenge children to start a discussion about their own behavioural choices.

Provide resources for your children and students

The 20 ideas, about how to treat yourself and others, together with a structured program will target young, growing minds with stories submitted via the internet where content comes from volunteer writers in the community.

Re-introduce old lessons and make up new stories

Your involvement and contributions are highly valued and we believe that your participation will greatly benefit our organization and all of our children
